restaurant · Baixa · Porto

Portugal's first restaurant built entirely around fire - no gas, no induction. Every dish cooked in a 19th-century wood oven or over a custom-built grill, with firewood, straw, pine needles and pine cones chosen to shape each flavour.

Chef Ricardo Dias Ferreira spent seven years cooking in Australia before returning to Porto with a single, fixed premise: everything over fire. No gas. No induction. A 19th-century wood oven, a custom-built grill, and smoking equipment are the only tools the kitchen uses.

Address: Rua do Almada 51, Porto
